Where does Neem Oil come from?

Neem oil is extracted from the Neem tree (Azadirachta indica), which thrives in tropical and semi-tropical climates. It has been used for centuries and is well-known for its medicinal and therapeutic properties. In Tanzania, the Neem tree is known as “Arobaini” (“forty” in Swahili) because of the many uses and benefits of the whole tree (bark, roots, leaves). Neem oil is extracted and typically cold-pressed from the seeds and fruits of the neem tree.
