Trim the Wick

Before lighting your candle, trim the wick to 1/4 inch (6 mm) long. This prevents excess smoke and ensures an even burn. Check the wick periodically, especially during longer burns, and trim if necessary.

Burn in Intervals

Allow the candle to burn for at least 1-2 hours the first time, or until the entire top layer of wax has melted. This prevents tunneling (where only the center of the candle burns down) and helps maintain an even burn throughout its life.

Avoid Drafts

Place your beeswax candle in a draft-free area. Breezes from windows or fans can cause uneven burning and excess smoke.
